The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.5 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Scandalise was quick to begin.

The start of this event was delayed by one minute, due to holding for a Toowoomba throughbred race.

Sin Rap Blue – Late scratching at 4:34 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr G Couldridge was fined $100.

Top Right was slow to begin.

Top Right and Work Zone collided on the first turn.  Especial Edit and Posterior Chain collided approaching the winning post. Work Zone clipped the heels of Especial Edit near the winning post.

Especial Edit underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to the greyhound falling after the winning post.  No apparent injury was reported.

Ginger Meggs was quick to begin.  Hatters Lane was slow to begin.

Ginger Meggs checked off Tango Icon on the first turn; checking Quade Bale and Kraken Ruben.  La Bamba Icon and Hatters Lane collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight; checking La Bamba Icon, Hatters Lane and Quade Bale.

Flaming Moses was slow to begin.

Wacky Wednesday and Luxury Rocks collided soon after the start.  Dewana Mechanic checked off Wacky Wednesday soon after the start.  Wacky Wednesday and Cullquin Freya collided on the first turn; Cullquin Freya raced wide as a result.  Flaming Moses raced wide on the first turn.

Flaming Moses underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to the greyhound trailing the field throughout the event.  No apparent injury was reported.

Snooker Que was quick to begin.

Snooker Que and Eureka Icon collided on the first turn.

Any Luck underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Weblec Pearl was slow to begin.

Abby's Star raced wide approaching  the home turn.  Abby's Star and Saint Tess raced wide in the home straight.

Due to a technical malfunction with the semaphore board this race was hand-timed in 27:35.

Magnet Force was quick to begin.

Hooked On You, Zero To Hero and Fawn Illusion collided soon after the start, checking Zero To Hero.  Magnet Force, Daisy Hill Lad and Hurry Harry collided on the first turn; checking Magnet Force, Daisy Hill Lad and Hooked On You.  Magnet Force and Daisy Hill Lad collided approaching the home turn, checking Daisy Hill Lad.  Aston Ryker, Hurry Harry and Zero To Hero collided in the home straight, checking Hurry Harry.

The All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards to view all available footage of the home straight, when a bird flew in the vicinity of the oncoming field.  After viewing such footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were entirely satisfied that no greyhounds were affected by the incident and the All Clear was posted on the Judge's numbers 5, 4, 3 and 2.
