Steward's Report
The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.5 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Scandalise was quick to begin.
Abby's Comet and Wee Fishin' collided soon after the start; checking Wee Fishin', which collided with Sugar Boloney; resulting in Sugar Boloney being checked. Abby's Comet checked off She's So Cute on the first turn. Abby's Comet raced wide on the home turn. Scandalise raced wide entering the home straight.
