Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance withGAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to andcontinue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Especial Echo was quick to begin.

Damaged and Especial Echo collided on the first turn. Brindle Fire and Inky's Fireball collided on the first turn. Damaged and Especial Echo collided approaching the home turn. Saint Bogan and Texan Galore collided approaching the home turn checking Texan Galore.

Ruby Arizona was quick to begin.

Star Shooter, Callow Street and King Brown collided soon after the start checking Callow Street. Star Shooter and King Brown collided approaching the home turn. Montoya and Cullquin Vincent collided approaching the home turn. Especially Eager and Ruby Arizona collided on the home turn. King Brown checked off Montoya on the home turn causing Montoya to fall. Star Shooter and Callow Street collided on the home turn.

Montonya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured left radius/ulna. Montoya was humanely euthanased.

Stewards inspected the track following the event and deemed it suitable for racing.

Six Big Boys and Pete Cabang were slow to begin.

Lara Diamond and Especial Edit collided soon after the start checking Especial Edit. Running For Juddy, American Star, Ride On and Pete Cabang collided on the first turn checking American Star, Ride On and Lara Diamond. Six Big Boys and Especial Edit collided on the first turn. American Star raced wide in the home straight.

Crackerjack Tys and Rotarua collided soon after the start.

Lektra Loopy and Rotarua collided approaching the first turn checking Rotarua. Flying Jamaica checked off Filorga Bale approaching the home turn checking Lektra Loopy and Broadway Bullet. Filorga Bale turned it's head inwards approaching the winning post and collided with Crackerjack Tys.

Filorga Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind and right hind limbs. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. P. Smoor, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Filorga Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Smoor pleaded guilty to the charge, Filorga Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sugar Spice was slow to begin.

Titanium Teeghan and Tommy Cawbourne collided on the first turn. Sugar Spice and Wicked Show collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Act On Impulse and Follow The Que collided on the second turn checking Act On Impulse.

Following the event Sugar Spice displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 14 day stand down penalty was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Lyons, the trainer of Sugar Spice. After hearing submissions the Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Sugar Spice must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Uniquely Mine, Dewana Chic, McIvor Stretch and Saffron Gold collided on the first turn checking McIvor Stretch and Saffron Gold and severely checking Dewana Chic which fell as a result. McIvor Stretch raced wide in the home straight. Teaks Streak visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Dewana Chic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded stopper pad. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Teaks Streak underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. A. Rademaker, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Teaks Streak was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Rademaker pleaded guilty to the charge, Teaks Streak must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cullquin Marcel and Big Leigh were slow to begin.

Mepunga Fairy checked off Cullquin Freya approaching the second turn. Cullquin Marcel and Big Leigh collided approaching the home turn.

Dewana Be Sure and Shifting Sands collided on the first turn.

My Name's George, Quicker Than Joe and Dewana Be Sure collided on the first turn checking Quicker Than Joe. Too Far Bro, Shifting Sands and Dewana Be Sure collided approaching the second turn checking all three greyhounds. My Name's George and Too Far Bro collided approaching the second turn. Shifting Sands and Quicker Than Joe collided in the home straight.

Fab Nine and Last Dance collided soon after the start checking Fab Nine.

Saint Ellie and Fab Nine collided approaching the first turn. Firing Fernando, Last Dance, Alana Rose and Maddox Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Maddox Bale and Fab Nine. Maddox Bale, Firing Fernando, Litigator and Alana Rose collided on the first turn checking Maddox Bale and Firing Fernando. Firing Fernando, Maddox Bale and Fab Nine collided approaching the home turn checking Maddox Bale and Fab Nine.

Six And Out and Serious One collided on the first turn. Solar Life and Good Mate Rusty collided approaching the home turn. Good Mate Rusty turned it's head inwards approaching the winning post and collided with Cracked Soda.

Good Mate Rusty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 11 and no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Warde, the trainer of Good Mate Rusty regarding its performance approaching the winning post. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Good Mate Rusty must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from McIvor Ernie.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Scarlatto with representative Ms. D. Ireland and noted her comments. 

Jimmy Cheesecake and Scarlatto collided approaching the first turn. Jimmy Cheesecake, Scarlatto and Secret Thoughts collided on the first turn. Secret Thoughts and McIvor Ernie raced wide in the home straight.

Scarlatto underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Hagrid Grange, Senor Diego and Ivalise Allen collided soon after the start checking Hagrid Grange and Ivalise Allen. Hillbilly Boy and Sweet Potato collided approaching the home turn. Ivalise Allen raced wide in the home straight.
