Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations

An out of competition sample was taken from Hebridean Black on 1 September 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Colden Dayto and Pansy Parkinson were quick to begin.  Hebridean Black was slow to begin.

Hadouken and Arizona Gold collided soon after the start checking Arizona Gold.  Pansy Parkinson and Hadouken collided on the first turn.  Arizona Gold and Kaison Bale collided on the first turn checking Arizona Gold.  Pansy Parkinson and Kaison Bale collided on the second turn.  Hebridean Black faltered in the back straight.  Colden Dayto and Rivia Bale collided in the home straight. Hadouken and Colden Dayto collided approaching the winning post.

Hadouken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrsion to the right hind calf and a spike wound to the left front carpal.  No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to representative of Hadouken Mr D Chapman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. After viewing both the official video film, and head on footage, stewards took no further action.

Hebriden Black underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4, the greyhound was found to have left and right monkey muscles and a left chest muscle injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

McLinden, Bird House Brown and Blue Gal were slow to begin.

McLinden and Lala Phoenix collided soon after the start.  Lala Phoenix and Bird House Brown collided soon after the start.  Bird House Brown and La La Oregon collided in the front straight.  Jayville Tahlia and Come On Aileen collided approaching the first turn.  Luther and Lala Phoenix collided approaching the first turn.  Luther, McLinden, Bird House Brown and La La Oregon collided on the first turn severely checking Bird House Brown.  McLinden checked off Lala Phoenix on the second turn.  La La Oregon checked off McLinden on the second turn checking La La Oregon in turn severely checking Luther, Blue Gal and Bird House Brown causing Bird House Brown to stumble and lose ground.  Luther checked off Blue Gal approaching the third turn.  Bird House Brown raced wide on the home turn.  Jayville Tahlia and Come On Aileen collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Bird House Brown underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Gypsy Zelda was quick to begin.

Riccarton Rick, Nevilla Bale and Paradiso Jewel collided soon after the start.  Nevilla Bale, Paradiso Jewel, Kenny The Brute, Lektra Jena and Grindylow collided soon after the start.  Cornish Pixie and Riccarton Rick collided soon after the start and several times to the first turn.  Cornish Pixie contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Nevilla Bale and Grindylow collided on the first turn.  Riccarton Rick and Lektra Jena collided on the first turn.  Kenny The Brute checked off Grindylow entering the back straight.  Riccarton Rick and Grindylow collided on the home turn.  

Cornish Pixie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrsion to the left hind tibia.  No stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Maggie and Lee Ali collided on the first turn.  Sunset Bourbski and Mepunga Maggie collided on the first turn.  Sunset Bourbski checked off Mepunga Maggie on the first turn.  Mepunga Maggie and Lee Ali collided on the second turn.  I'm Not Budging and Lee Ali collided on the fourth turn and again on the home turn.

Shanlyn Charlott underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hind medial tibia.  No stand down period was imposed.

Be So Good was quick to begin.  

Quara's Zade and Orwell Bale collided soon after the start.  Quara's Zade, Orwell Bale and All Show collided soon after the start.  Aston Onyx crossed in soon after the start and collided with Be So Good on the first turn.  Neymar Junior and Quara's Zade collided in the front straight.  Full Moon Party, Neymar Junior and Quara's Zade collided on the first turn severely checking Neymar Junior and Quara's Zade.  Full Moon Party visible eased on the second turn.  All Show checked off Orwell Bale entering the back straight.  Full Moon Party checked off Neymar Junior in the back straight.  Quara's Zade checked off Full Moon Party in the back straight and lost ground.  

Full Moon Party underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Dale Chapman, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Full Moon Party was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Chapman pleaded guilty to the charge, Full Moon Party must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Quara's Zade underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bejarano and Armour Bale were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Gemma Blue, Always Ho Ho and Joking Bear collided approaching the first turn checking Always Ho Ho.  Gemma Blue checked off Evi Bale on the first turn checking Joking Bear and severely checking Alway Ho Ho.  Indian Shadow raced wide in the back straight and in the home straight.  Evi Bale and Joking Bear collided in the home straight.
