Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

A pre-race sample was taken from Billy Tirch.

Billy Tirch and Mt. View Dusty were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.

Mt. View Jester and Hot Streak collided soon after the start. Pat's Me Mum, Your Queen and Galway Lights collided approaching the 200m mark. Billy Tirch and Slim Girl collided several times from approaching the 200m mark to the 150m mark, checking Billy Tirch, Slim Girl and Mt. View Jester. Galway Lights checked off Pat's Me Mum at the 200m mark. Slim Girl and Mt. View Jester collided at the 150m mark checking Slim Girl. Your Queen checked off Galway Lights at the 100m mark and crossed to the outside. Billy Tirch and Mt. View Jester collided at the 100m mark and again approaching th 50m mark severely checking Billy Tirch and Slim Girl. Galway Lights and Mt. View Jester collided approaching the winning post.

Apple Valley, Zero Connection and Arcanine were slow to begin.

Summer Siren and Maxi Mal collided soon after the start. Ishmy Neecy checked off Maxi Mal at the 200m mark. Apple Valley and Summer Siren collided at the 200m mark. Zero Connection and Maxi Mal collided several times from approaching the 150m mark to approaching the 50m mark. Zero Connection, Maxi Mal and Uncatchable Girl collided approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be taken from Cold Streak, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Gem Victorem and Sand Dance collided soon after the start. Gem Victorem checked off Sand Dance at the 300m mark. Boes High Five and Dutch Ambition collided approaching the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Victor Gay, the Trainer of Boes High Five and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Encounter.

Encounter, Maximum Capers and Jax Flash collided soon after the start. Piper's Unicorn crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Encounter. Piper's Unicorn, Luboko, Classic Paws and Lea Arandt collided at the 250m mark. Luboko and Classic Paws collided approaching the 200m mark. Classic Paws crossed to the rail at the 200m mark checking Luboko, Piper's Unicorn and Jax Flash. 

Lady Gotham – New declared weight of 25.9kg, last raced at 27.1kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Run Maggie Run.

Lady Gotham, Heidi Intention and Hurricane Rose collided soon after the start. Butch Regis crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Butch Regis and Hurricane Rose collided approaching the 150m mark and again at the 150m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Chill Out Isla.

Annaley Flash and Chill Out Isla collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark. 

A post-race sample was taken from Lamotta - the winner of the event.

Anubis Al – New declared weight of 34.4kg, last raced at 35.7kg.

Lucas Booth was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Stagger Bott pursuant to GAR 33.

A pre-race sample was taken from Flojo Mikado.

Aston Logan was slow to begin.

Stagger Bott and Dire Straits collided soon after the start checking Stagger Bott.

A pre-race sample was taken from Chill Winston.

Chill Out Dusty and Melanistic collided soon after the start. Melanistic crossed in approaching the 250m mark checking Chil Out Dusty and Scraping Paint. Melanistic and Chill Out Dusty collided at the 200m mark, Melanistic faltered and lost ground as a result.

Melanistic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Without Fear - Late scratching at 11:01am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an abrasion on the right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Marley's Rage and Crackerjack Baz collided at the 200m mark. Mt. View Dodger checked off Warrior Armo approaching the 150m mark. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Cardiff Bale.

Papa Panda checked off Kingy Lights at the 250m mark. Saharrah Blitz and Front Bar collided at the 250m mark. Front Bar, Papa Panda and Furnace Bale collided at the 200m mark and again approaching the 150m mark. Saharra Blitz and Kingy Lights collided approaching the 100m mark. Front Bar crossed in at the 50m mark checking Kingy Lights, Saharrah Blitz and Front Bar.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kurt Burger-Trudgett, the Handler of Furnace Bale in this event regarding the manner's of the greyhound behind the starting boxes. Mr Burger-Trudgett stated that upon removing the collar from Furnace Bale in preparation for boxing, the greyhound lept forward towards the outside of the starting boxes. Stewards noted Mr. Burger-Trudgett's explanation and took no further action.

Thirty Red was slow to begin and checked off Shady Talks soon after the start. 

Thirty Red crossed to the outside approaching the 150m mark. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Benny.

Aquileia was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.

Polly's Varcoe crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Early Special checked off Jimmy Goes Bang at the 200m mark. Jimmy Goes Bang checked off Zipping Benny at the 150m mark.
