Merriview Jolt was slow to begin. King Brown and Olin Bale collided approaching the first turn. King Brown, Olin Bale and Bets And Beers collided on the first turn. Merriview Jolt clipped the heels of King Brown on the home turn checking Vanilla Sky. Vanilla Sky raced wide in the home straight.
Vanilla Sky underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
