Steward's Report
Kirby's Delight and Jacobite Flower was slow to begin. All Genres, Dinkydi Lilly and Especially Eager collided approaching the home turn checking Dinkydi Lilly. All Genres, Especially Eager and Twilight Psycho collided on the first turn checking All Genres. All Genres, Dinkydi Lilly and Kirby's Delight collided approaching the home turn checking Dinkydi Lilly. All Genres, Dinkydi Lilly, Kirby's Delight and Jacobite Flower collided on the home turn severely checking Jacobite Flower. Twilight Psycho turned its head outwards and collided with Holding Hope on the home turn. Especially Eager turned its head outwards and collided with Twilight Psycho entering the home straight checking Twilight Psycho, Especially Eager and Holding Hope. Kirby's Delight and Especially Eager collided in the home straight. Twilight Psycho, Holding Hope and Kirby's Delight raced wide in the home straight.
Twilight Psycho underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Sean VanTaarling regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Twilight Psycho was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr VanTaarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Twilight Psycho was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Especially Eager underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle and a laceration on the left stopper. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Cameron Knott regarding the greyhounds racing manners on entering the home straight Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Especially Eager was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Knott pleaded guilty to the charge, Especially Eager was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from All Genres - the winner of the event.
