Steward's Report
Electric Dreams - Late scratching at 1.01pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Bruce Baxter was fined $100.
Saint Bogan was slow to begin.
Longstaff and Aston Helena collided approaching the home turn checking Longstaff. Saint Bogan raced wide on the home turn.
Saint Bogan which trailed the field throughout the event underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Saint Bogan was found to have a left wrist injury and also suffered from the thumps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Helena - the winner of the event.
