Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Tobin's Power – New declared weight of 33.1kg last raced at 34.7kg. 

John John Dory was slow to begin.

Always Near and Shamrock Mist collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Lilly Galore galloped on Always Near approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Tobin's Power tired over the concluding stages of the event.  

Tobin's Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards offered Mr Garry Harding the trainer of Tobin's Power a re-examination which he declined. Stewards spoke to Mr Harding regarding the greyhound's performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Tobin's Power must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Electric Dreams - Late scratching at 1.01pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Bruce Baxter was fined $100.

Saint Bogan was slow to begin.

Longstaff and Aston Helena collided approaching the home turn checking Longstaff.  Saint Bogan raced wide on the home turn.

Saint Bogan which trailed the field throughout the event underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7.  Saint Bogan was found to have a left wrist injury and also suffered from the thumps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Empire Lad and Burning Tracks were slow to begin.

Black Booker checked off Empire Lad approaching the first turn.  Burning Tracks galloped on the heels of Joffa's Shadow on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Black Booker raced wide on the home turn.  Joffa's Impala and Empire Lad collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Pyrenees Daisy was very slow to begin (3 lengths). 

Red The Run checked off Lektra Lyrebird approaching the first turn.  Not Arandt checked off Lektra Lyrebird in the home straight.

Aston Estate was slow to begin.

Crown Knox and Zulu Walk collided soon after the start.  Miss Zeus checked off Fugacious on the first turn.  Crown Knox checked off Permit Granted on the first turn checking Zulu Walk.  Aston Estate raced wide on the home turn.  Permit Granted and Crown Knox collided approaching the winning post.

Weblec Pearl, Evi Bale and White Cynder collided soon after the start.  Weblec Pearl, Evi Bale, White Cynder, Moraine Nicky and Julana collided on the first turn checking Evi Bale, White Cynder and Julana; severely checking United Lass and Moraine Nicky which both fell as a result.  Winsome Willow and Weblec Pearl collided approaching the home turn checking Weblec Pearl.  Evi Bale and Julana collided in the home straight.  

United Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Moraine Nicky underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right thigh.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Precisely with trainer Mr Frank Meyer and noted his comments.
