Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

You Ember, Terzo Millennio and Xamira Bale were slow to begin.  His Stop It, You Ember and Texas Metal collided soon after the start.  Handsome Jack crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Terzo Millennio, Redbank Liddy, His Stop It and Texas Metal.  Texas Metal, His Stop It and Redbank Liddy collided in the front straight.  His Stop It checked off Texas Metal approaching the first turn.  His Stop It contacted the running rail approaching the first turn checking You Ember.  His Stop It lost considerable ground as a result.  You Ember and His Stop It collided entering the back straight.  His Stop It checked off You Ember on the second turn.  Texas Metal checked off Redbank Liddy on the second turn checking Xamira Bale.  Redbank Liddy and Terzo Millennio collided approaching the third turn.  Texas Metal and Redbank Liddy collided approaching the third turn.  Terzo Millennio and Redbank Liddy collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Kiss Your Lips checked off Xamira Bale in the home straight.

His Stop It was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Zulu Walk was quick to begin.  Shy But Savage and Cherokee Twist were slow to begin.  Gypsy Zelda crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Shy But Savage.  Shy But Savage and Sensory collided in the front straight.  Gypsy Zelda, Zulu Walk and All Class Fairy collided on the first turn.  Sensory, Shy But Savage and Cherokee Twist collided on the first turn.  Shy But Savage and Cherokee Twist collided on the second turn.  Sensory checked off Zulu Walk entering the back straight.  Sensory and Zulu Walk collided approaching the third turn checking Zulu Walk.

Smokin Cindy was due to trial subsequent to Race 3, however, Trainer - Mr Tony Tufo reported the greyhound was ill. As the speed star qualifying trials are run under race conditions, Smokin Cindy is stood down from racing for 10 days, and a veterinary certifcate of clearance is required before any future nomination will be accepted.

Think Big Harry underwent a thorough veterinary examination prior to the running of the event and was passed fit to race.

Redzin and Think Big Harry were slow to begin.  Redzin crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Think Big Harry.  Rhonda Lily and Weblec Storm collided soon after the start.  Yeah Easy and Polarising collided on the first turn.  Forcefully, Rhonda Lily and Pilbara collided on the first turn checking Rhonda Lily and Pilbara which raced wide as a result.  Weblec Storm contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Redzin and Think Big Harry.  Forcefully and Think Big Harry collided on the third turn checking Think Big Harry.  Think Big Harry checked off Pilbara approaching the home turn.

Spring Hummer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hamstrings and left thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

King I Am and King Of Swing were slow to begin.  Kingfisher Rose checked off Bound To Succeed soon after the start.  Hazey Roy, Gypsy Yankee and Bound To Succeed collided approaching the first turn.  Gypsy Yankee checked off Kingfisher Rose on the first turn.  Gypsy Yankee and Bound To Succeed collided on the second turn causing Kingfisher Rose to race wide.  King I Am and King Of Swing collided entering the back straight.  Gypsy Yankee and Bound To Succeed collided in the back straight.  Gypsy Yankee faltered approaching the home turn and fell as a result, severely checking Bound To Succeed and King I Am.  Hazey Roy and King Of Swing collided in the home straight.

Gypsy Yankee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a scapula fracture, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Bound To Succeed was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left foreleg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

King I Am was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstrings, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
