Acting on a confirmed phone call at 8:05am Battling Baz was a late scratching due to trainer illness.
Aqua Percy was slow to begin. He's A Geezer and Husky Freckle collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Husky Freckle. Warrior Armo and All Inn June collided on the home turn. Aqua Percy and Warrior Armo collided entering the home straight severely checking Warrior Armo.
Warrior Armo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Gap Cabang, winner of the event.
