Steward's Report
Sugar Spice was slow to begin.
Iceni Jinx and Inky's Fireball collided soon after the start checking Iceni Jinx. Sugar Spice and Inky's Fireball collided on the first turn. Landish Boy, Cruising Four and Atala collided on the first turn checking Atala. Inky's Fireball and Iceni Jinx collided approaching the home turn. Atala and Enchanting collided entering the home straight. Cruising Four turned it's head inward and marred Landish Boy in the home straight.
Cruising Four underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield, the trainer of Cruising Four regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Cruising Four was charged with marring. Mr. Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Cruising Four is suspended for 90 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
