Steward's Report
Alinea was quick to begin.
Stirke Out and Zipping Gypsy collided soon after the start. Reckless Roger galloped on the heels of Alinea on the first turn, checking Reckless Roger. Reckless Roger and Cash No Credit collided on the first turn. Zipping Gypsy clipped the heels of Cash No Credit approaching the home turn. Leo's My Champ and Dance Diva Dance collided in the home straight. Strike Out visably eased approaching the winning post and collided with Leo's Champ.
Reckless Roger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg toe injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Leo's My Champ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg toe and left hindleg back muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr B Seymour regarding the greyhound, Leo's My Champ racing manners approaching the winning post. After observing all available footage, Stewards own observations and Mr Seymours' submissions, Stewards took no further action.
Strike Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and right hindleg quadriceps injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr A Rademaker regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Strike Out was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Rademaker pleaded guilty to the charge, Strike Out was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
