Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Crown Max and Gina Louise collided approaching the first turn.  Crown Max eased in the home straight and collided with Gamma Bale; checking Gamma Bale.  Gamma Bale galloped on the heels of Crown Max in the home straight, checking Crown Max.

Crown Max underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg hamstrings injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr M Johnson regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Crown Max was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Crown Max must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

It's Not Him underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg back muscle and quadriceps injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Gamma Bale - the winner of the event.

Alinea was quick to begin.

Stirke Out and Zipping Gypsy collided soon after the start.  Reckless Roger galloped on the heels of Alinea on the first turn, checking Reckless Roger.  Reckless Roger and Cash No Credit collided on the first turn.  Zipping Gypsy clipped the heels of Cash No Credit approaching the home turn.  Leo's My Champ and Dance Diva Dance collided in the home straight.  Strike Out visably eased approaching the winning post and collided with Leo's Champ.

Reckless Roger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg toe injury.  No stand down period was imposed.

Leo's My Champ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg toe and left hindleg back muscle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr B Seymour regarding the greyhound, Leo's My Champ racing manners approaching the winning post.  After observing all available footage, Stewards own observations and Mr Seymours' submissions, Stewards took no further action. 

Strike Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and right hindleg quadriceps injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr A Rademaker regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Strike Out was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Rademaker pleaded guilty to the charge, Strike Out was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Summer Siren, Grey Not Blue and Paisley Bale collided soon after the start, checking Grey Not Blue. Paisley Bale contacted the running rail approaching the first turn; severely checking Paisley Bale.  Percy's Dream and Urana Vieri collided approaching the first turn, checking Percy's Dream.  Urana Vieri, Zipping Cola and Summer Siren collided on the first turn; severely checking Summer Siren.  Zipping Levi and Summer Siren collided entering the home straight.  Urana Vieri and Grey Not Blue collided entering the home straight.  Percy's Dream, Uvana Vieri and Grey Not Blue collided in the home straight, checking Grey Not Blue.

Paisley Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the nose.  No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Hold On.

Sugar Spice, Osprey's Opal and Deering Danae were slow to begin. Big Leigh, Macey's Star and Mr. Black collided on the first turn; severely checking Macey's Star.  Big Leigh and Sugar Spice collided approaching the second turn.  Mr. Black and Deering Danae collided on the second turn.  Follow The Que and Hold On collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Following the event Sugar Spice displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria.  No stand down penalty was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms J Lyons, the trainer of Sugar Spice and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events. 

Cullquin Marcel, Huntly Star, Tiramisu For You and Argyle Audrey collided on the first turn; checking Huntly Star, Tiramisu For You and Argyle Audrey.  Huntly Star and Tiramisu For You collided on the second turn.

Stacey Bott, Roots Rock Riot, Aston Thunder and According collided on the first turn.  Stacey Bott galloped on the heels of Aston Thunder approaching the second turn; causing Aston Thunder to fall and severely checking Stacey Bott.  Janray Lucky One and Secret Chimp collided approaching the second turn.  According galloped on the hyeels of Secret Chimp on the home turn; severely checking Secret Chimp, which stumbled.  Stacey Bott and Secret Chimp collided entering the home straight.

Aston Thunder underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hindleg thigh and spike wound to the left calf.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Secret Chimp underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg quadriceps injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Roots Rock Riot - the winner of the event.

Kranskey, Zevatron and Shanlyn Rose collided soon after the start.  Starchie and Less Ordinary collided approaching the first turn, checking Starchie and Lektra Desire.  Starchie, Kranskey and Shanlyn Rose collided approaching the first turn, checking Starchie.  Lektra Desire, Kranskey and Shanlyn Rose collided on the first turn, checking Lektra Desire and Kranskey.  Zevatron and Vonn collided several times in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr P Abela, trainer of Zevatron, after the greyhound was negligently placed in the incorrect starting boxes and issued him with a $100 fine pursuant to GAR86(o).

Prince Cody, Jitterbug Witch and Talented collided on the first turn.  Prince Cody and Talented collided approaching the second turn.  Prince Cody and Don's Boy collided entering the home straight.

Way To Important and Pandora's Blue were slow to begin. Pandora's Blue and Runing For Juddy collided approaching the first turn.  Pandora's Blue and Way To Important collided on the first turn.  Big Little Sis checked off Our Girl Bailee on the first turn; causing Big Little Sis to fall, and severely checking Way To Important and Pandora's Blue.

Big Little Sis underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Big Little Sis became dislodged during the running of the event.

Class Action, Scar Queen and Nana Rose collided soon after the start.  Nana Rose and Scar Queen collided on the first turn, checking Nana Rose.  Nicko In Paris and Hard Cash collided on the first turn, checking Hard Cash.  Tough Dude raced wide on the home turn.  Class Action eased entering the home straight and collided with Ride On.  Tough Dude raced wide in the home straight.  Nicko In Paris and Scar Queen collided in the home straight.

Class Action underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg track leg injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Brave Hearted was slow to begin. Lektra Shadow and Diamond Socks collided approaching the first turn, checking Diamond Socks.  Lektra Shadow and Piper's Unicorn collided on the first turn, checking Piper's Unicorn.

College Prince – New declared weight of 31.2 kgs, last raced at 30.0 kgs.

Foxzami Raptor and Full Of Weetbix collided soon after the start.  Infinite Will and College Prince collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking College Prince.  Infininte Will and Full Of Weetbix collided in the home straight, checking Infinite Will.
