Happy Tails lost ground soon after the start. Ivalise Allen and Nitro Gee collided on the first turn. Tekidanto and Select Pattern collided on the home turn. Tekidanto checked off Select Pattern entering the home straight. Dewana Jayden and Uncle Rico collided entering the home straight.
Happy Tails underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
