Steward's Report
Camino Angel was quick to begin. Riverdale Peggy and Zurial Bale were slow to begin.
Patch Alice and Helmet Giblet collided soon after the start. Five Putt Cal and Nana Jill collided approaching the first turn. Patch Alice checked off Helmet Giblet on the first turn. Patch Alice and Zurial Bale collided on the home turn. Patch Alice visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Patch Alice underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr R McCullagh the trainer of Patch Alice regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Patch Alice was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McCullagh pleaded guilty to the charge, Patch Alice was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
