Steward's Report
Hot Diesel and Wake Up Dusty were slow to begin.
Wake Up Dusty crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Invictus Kelly and Fine Edition. Wake Up Dusty, Fine Edition, Aston Tribute and Assume Kealy collided approaching the 300m mark checking Fine Edition. Fine Edition checked off Aston Tribute approaching the 200m mark. Aston Tribute and Rain Dance collided at the 150m mark. Rain Dance checked off Assume Kealy at the 100m mark. Hot Diesel checked off Tommy's Blazer approaching the winning post.
Fine Edition underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 5 and was found to have injuries to the left calf muscle and left pencil muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford regarding the racing manners of Fine Edition approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Whitford, taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound and viewing all the available race footage and their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
