Aston Rabanne - Late scratching at 10.45am when Graeme Jose reported the greyhound to have fibula injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Whakahoro and Galloping Occy were slow to begin.
Bit Twisted checked off Shen Bree Girl approaching the first turn. Up The Amount and Whakahoro collided on the first turn. Dundee Flame tired over the concluding stages.
A post-race sample was taken from Up The Amount - the winner of the event.

Trainer Mrs Natalie Presutto formally applied to Stewards to withdraw Jazz Opera from Cranbourne today after mistakenly nominating the greyhound for this race when already engaged in the Group 3 GRV Vic Bred Final at the Meadows on Saturday 27 2021. In accepting the application to withdraw Jazz Opera under GAR 20 (4) (b), the Stewards issued a charge to Mrs. Presutto under GAR 86 (o) for mistakenly nominating Jazz Opera for this race, a thing which was considered by the Stewards to be negligent. Mrs. Presutto pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.
