All persons (GRV & Club Staff, Licensed Participants & limited general public) attending the venue today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Riverdale Goldie was slow to begin.
Why Arandt checked off Butterfly Indee approaching the first turn. Cassie Bale checked off Pat May Joy approaching the first turn, Cassie Bale eased and pulled up taking no further part in the running of the event. Maximum Cook checked off Javen Bale on the first turn severely checking Maximum Cook, Why Arandt and Pat May Joy. Butterfly Indee checked off Rich Con approaching the home turn. Riverdale Goldie and Why Arandt collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Cook checked off Pat May Joy on the home turn checking Riverdale Goldie and Why Arandt. Riverdale Goldie and Javen Bale collided approaching the winning post.
Cassie Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 4. Cassie Bale was found to have a right triangle injury and a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms. Callie Wilson, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Cassie Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Wilson pleaded guilty to the charge, Cassie Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Rich Con - winner of the event.
