In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 29.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.5 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

King's Riot was slow to begin. Two Up Tommy checked off Evident on the first turn. Sequin and Run Penny Run collided on the first turn checking Sequin. Evident and Two Up Tommy collided entering the home straight.

Old Roy and Rebel Riot were slow to begin. Jax Star and Irene's A Star collided soon after the start checking Jax Star. Old Roy, Irene's A Star and Rebel Riot collided approaching the first turn checking Irene's A Star. Old Roy checked off Gypsy Cinnamon on the first turn. Rebel Riot and Jax Star collided on the home turn checking Jax Star. Gypsy Cinnamon checked off Ninja Girl Mia on the home turn checking Old Roy and Ninja Girl Mia. Isla Bale turned it's head inwards and marred Rebel Riot approaching the winning post.

Isla Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Deb Carr, the trainer of Isla Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Isla Bale was charged with marring.  Ms. Carr pleaded guilty to the charge, Isla Bale was found guilty and suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fabriola Acai was slow to begin. Walkin' Boots and Aston Glow collided on the first turn checking Walkin' Boots. Mow A Meadow and Fabriola Acai collided on the second turn. Walkin' Boots and Flaming Moses collided on the home turn checking Walkin' Boots and Mow A Meadow.

Our Frosty was quick to begin. Shim Bob and Our Frosty collided soon after the start checking Shim Bob. Mr. Football and Plain And Simple collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mr. Football and Shim Bob collided on the home turn.

Lightning Gadget underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race. 

Lightning Gadget, Aerolithology, Quicker Than Joe, Graphic Design and All Over Elly collided on the first turn checking Quicker Than Joe and All Over Elly. Lightning Gadget and Aerolithology collided approaching the second turn. Quicker Than Joe faltered and lost ground approaching the second turn.Cornhill Rebel checked off Aerolithology approaching the home turn. Lightning Gadget underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a papilloma on the third right hind toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Quicker Than Joe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to a left quadraceps injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Hansen, the trainer of Lightning Gadget regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Lightning Gadget was charged with marring. Mr. Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge, Lightning Gadget was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fernando Booker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Jay Bird underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a torn nail to the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
