All persons (both essential staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 25.3 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.4 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Upon arrival, Stewards conducted checks on all trainers' vehicles used to transport greyhounds to today's meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all  transportation used today complied with GRV Hot Weather and GRV Transport of Greyhounds Policy.

Stewards conducted a check of the catcher’s licences in accordance with LRR 16.2 and all were compliant

Tralee Riot and Mt. View Moon were slow to begin.

Mt. View Moon checked off Tralee Riot at the 100m mark.

Classy Edition and Perfect Treasure collided soon after the start. Perfect Jess crossed to the outside at the 250m mark checking Classy Edition. Perfect Treasure galloped on Avery Charm at the 200m mark severely checking Classy Edition and Avery Charm. Perfect Jess and Maxi Mal collided at the 150m mark. Perfect Treasure and Mt. View Burner collided at the 150m mark. Perfect Jess faltered at the 75m mark and pulled up.

Perfect Jess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Edwards, trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 75m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Perfect Jess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Edwards pleaded guilty to the charge, Perfect Jess was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Arandt and Blackzin Prince collided soon after the start. Wiggle It Bart and Blackzin Prince collided approaching the winning post checking Blackzin Prince and Troubled Oasis.

Pandora's Hope was slow to begin.

Master Febey, Without Fear, My Dad Baz and Victory Chico collided soon after the start. Retro Reece, My Dad Baz and Victory Chico collided at the 250m mark. Master Febey and Pandora's Hope collided at the 200m mark. My Dad Baz and Victory Chico collided at the 50m mark.

Pure Profit and Lucky Paws collided soon after the start. Another Avatar and Now And Then collided at the 250m mark. Steve Swordfish and Our Girl Daisy collided at the 250m mark.

Especial Edit, Courtney Lee and Dr. Mick collided soon after the start. Succession Plan crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Darklight faltered at the 200m mark and tailed off.

Darklight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left biceps. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Logan was slow to begin.

Amercan Missile, Superior Kiki, Challis Sprite, Aston Logan and Doughnut collided at the 300m mark checking Superior Kiki, Challis Sprite and Doughnut. Aston Logan crossed to the outside at the 300m mark. Challis Sprite checked off Doughnut at the 250m mark. Amercan Missile and Boes Reward collided at the 125m mark and again at the 100m mark. Boes Reward and Flying Farrokh collided approaching the winning post.

Chasing Love, Allegra Bliss and Also Arandt collided soon after the start. Chasing Love, Warrior Jake, Allegra Bliss, Also Arandt, Idaho and Jachar collided soon after the start. Chasing Love and Warrior Jake collided soon after the start. Chasing Love and Warrior Jake collided at the 100m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Jachar - the winner of the event.

Allegra Bliss underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have an injury to the right flexor tendon. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards reviewed the footage of the race before the 'All Clear' was given due to the delay in the green light being activated at the start. Stewards spoke to the Starter regarding the incident and advised club managemnt.
