Steward's Report
Classy Edition and Perfect Treasure collided soon after the start. Perfect Jess crossed to the outside at the 250m mark checking Classy Edition. Perfect Treasure galloped on Avery Charm at the 200m mark severely checking Classy Edition and Avery Charm. Perfect Jess and Maxi Mal collided at the 150m mark. Perfect Treasure and Mt. View Burner collided at the 150m mark. Perfect Jess faltered at the 75m mark and pulled up.
Perfect Jess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Edwards, trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 75m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Perfect Jess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Edwards pleaded guilty to the charge, Perfect Jess was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Maxi Mal - the winner of the event
