Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Saint Jobe was slow to begin.
Big Boy Brooke and Milana Rose collided on the first turn, checking Milana Rose. Big Boy Brooke checked off Silver Harp on the home turn. Big Boy Brooke, Saint Jobe and Silver Harp collided in the home straight, checking Silver Harp. Big Boy Brooke faltered and lost ground in the home straight, checking Saint Jobe.
Big Boy Brooke underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and left hindleg triangle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr R Proctor regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. After speaking to Mr Proctor and the on-course veterinary surgeon, and reviewing the available video footage, Stewards were satisfied that the injuries to Big Boy Brooke explained the racing performance and no further action was taken.
A post-race sample was taken from Slingshot Raven - the winner of the event.
