All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Press On crossed to the running rail soon after the start, checking Don't Cry Wolf and Pabbie Bale; Don't Cry Wolf lost ground from this point and pulled up as a result. Drako Bale checked off Press On on the first turn. Ranako Bale crossed to the running rail approaching the home turn, checking My Prom Queen, Queen Of Boss and Drako Bale. My Prom Queen and Drako Bale collided entering the home straight.
Don't Cry Wolf underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D McKenzie, the trainer of Don't Cry Wolf regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Don't Cry Wolf was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. D McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge, Don't Cry Wolf was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
