The start was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to media activities for a gallops race at the Saphire Coast.

Go Flo was quick to begin. Fairytale Poppy went up with the lids at box rise.

Go Flo and I'm A Soldier collided on the first turn. Fairytale Poppy, Battlers Three and Crown Sally collided on the first turn severely checking Crown Sally, in turn checking Lonesome Star. Lovely Jiggs shifted in, in the home straight checking Go Flow.

Lovely Jiggs underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sand burn to bottom of left hind pad. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M Quick regarding the racing manners of Lovely Jiggs in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Ms Quick, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Parasite was quick to begin.

Inky's Fireball and Bakali George collided soon after the start. Zarate and Bakali George collided soon after the start. Rival Wiggy and Holding Hope collided soon after the start. I'm A Psycho checked off Bakali George approaching the first turn. Holding Hope checked off Inky's Fireball on the first turn. Tylden, Balt's Fantasy, Baileys And Milk and Pretty Much collided soon after the start checking Baileys And Milk. Balt's Fantasy checked off Pretty Much approaching the first turn and again on the home turn.

A warning was issued to Trainer, Ms. D Robertson, regarding the boxing manners of Gordelle Bale in this event.

This race was transferred to Sky 2 due to a Yarra Glen harness race meeting running 3.5 minutes behind schedule.

Fairytale Swank went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (2 lengths). Follow The Que was quick to begin.

Tommy Cawbourne, Windburn and Pyrenees Pegasus collided approaching the first turn. Tommy Cawbourne checked off Pyrenees Pegasus on the first turn. Ronny Mac, Follow The Que and Cawbourne Cheeky collided on the first turn checking Ronny Mac in turn severely checking Follow The Que and Pyrenees Pegasus causing Pyrenees Pegasus to lose ground as a result. Windburn checked off Tommy Cawbourne on the home turn. Fairytale Swank checked off Pyrenees Pegasus in the home straight. Tommy Cawbourne and Windburn collided in the home straight.

Shifting Sands – Late scratching at 3.03pm under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Secret Chimp was slow to begin.

Pete Cabang and La La Louis collided soon after the start and again approaching the home turn checking Pete Cabang. Secret Chimp checked off Room To Boom on the first turn. Secret Chimp and Gypsy Hook collided approaching the home turn. Pete Cabang raced wide on the home turn.
