All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds. 

Teamster, Defensible and Red Sunset were slow to begin.  Defensible and Red Sunset collided soon after the start.  Defensible and Teamster collided approaching the first turn.  Peter Coin and Armstrong Bobby collided approaching the first turn.  Armstrong Bobby and Red Sunset collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Peter Coin was checked off Got Him Yes entering the home straight.  Armstrong Bobby and Defensible collided approaching the winning post.

Mudslide was slow to begin.  Cyber Crime and Billy’s The Boss collided approaching the first turn. Cyber Crime was checked off Billy’s The Boss approaching the first turn checking Rizzo.  Simon Says and Zulu Duchess collided approaching the home turn.  Zulu Duchess was checked off Yazid Bale on the home turn.  Zulu Duchess raced wide on the home turn.

Call Me Harvey was quick to begin.  Hartland Gus, Rio Hustler and Evil Deed collided approaching the first turn checking Evil Deed.  Nowhere Nathe and Prime Time collided on the first turn checking Prime Time.  Call Me Harvey and Hartland Gus raced wide on the home turn.  Rio Hustler raced wide in the home straight. 

Call Me Harvey underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right flexor tendon and right triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Locked In was quick to begin.  Star Magic was slow to begin.  Kutcher’s Ruslie and Ancho Poblano collided soon after the start.  Ancho Poblano was checked off Kutcher’s Ruslie on the first turn causing Ancho Poblano to lose ground.  Denzell Bale and Locked In collided entering the home straight.

Alumni, Harmon Bale and Longstaff were quick to begin.  Tiggerlong Bundy was slow to begin. Tiggerlong Bundy was checked off Hurricane Red soon after the start.  Harmon Bale, Princess Lace, Longstaff and Hurricane Red collided approaching the first turn.  Harmon Bale and Tiggerlong Bundy raced wide on the home turn.  Harmon Bale and Hurricane Red raced wide in the home straight.

Victory Chase was quick to begin.  Top Faith and Tin Shed Fred were slow to begin.  What Price Mason and Baggy’s Gold collided soon after the start.  Speed Star crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Shared Colour.  Tin Shed Fred galloped on Shared Colour on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Victory Chase and Tin Shed Fred collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Major Winston, Baggy’s Gold and Speed Star collided on the first turn.  Major Winston was checked off Top Faith approaching the home turn.  Major Winston and What Price Mason collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Sunset Bourbski and Zipping Ticket were quick to begin.  Motor City Tiger and Pilbara were slow to begin.  Sunset Bourbski and Affair Bit collided on the first turn checking Sunset Bourbski.  Shamrock Boy and Motor City Tiger collided approaching the third turn.  Motor City Tiger and Pilbara collided approaching the home turn.  Shamrock Boy raced wide in the home straight.

An out of competition sample was taken from Aston Gwen, Zipping Zarbo, Jax Bale and Shima Shine on 14 January 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

An out of competition sample was taken from Catch The Thief on 15 January 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Aston Gwen, Shima Shine and Dream Wizard collided on the first turn checking Aston Gwen.  Shima Shine and Dream Wizard collided on the home turn.  Aston Gwen and Catch The Thief collided on the home turn.  

A post-race blood and urine sample was taken from Aeroplane Eric, the winner of the event. 

A post-race urine sample was unable to be obtained from Equalizer, second placegetter in the event, a blood sample was subsequently taken.

Faithy Bale and Tiggerlong Tonk collided on the home turn.

Jax Bale, Earn The Answers and Tiberia Bale were quick to begin.  Lots Of Chatter was slow to begin.  Jax Bale and Earn The Answers collided on the first turn.  Earn The Answers and Lots Of Chatter collided on the first turn.  Tiberia Bale and Lots Of Chatter collided on the first turn.  Reverse Outright was checked off Tiberia Bale on the home turn and collided with Lots Of Chatter.  Jax Bale and Earn The Answers collided approaching the winning post.

Bearing Gold, His Stop It, Ant Man, Bit Of Pepper and Galloping Albi were quick to begin.  Dale From Sale was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  His Stop It and Ant Man collided soon after the start checking His Stop It.  Bearing Gold was checked off Ant Man soon after the start.  Klimenko and Bearing Gold collided on the first turn.  Black Power and Bit Of Pepper collided on the first turn. Klimenko galloped on Black Power on the first turn.  Dale From Sale galloped on Black Power on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Klimenko, Dale From Sale and His Stop It collided on the first turn.  His Stop It was checked off Klimenko on the first turn.

Tiggerlong Ginga, Liverpool Flyer and Hook Along Book were quick to begin.  Jebrynah Octave was slow to begin.  Tiggerlong Ginga, Liverpool Flyer, Hook Along Book and Baby Pechey collided on the first turn checking Liverpool Flyer and Hook Along Book.  Tiggerlong Ginga was checked off Baby Pechey on the first turn checking Mac’s Mayhem.  Hook Along Book and Mac’s Mayhem collided on the first turn.  Mac’s Mayhem and Jebrynah Octave collided on the first turn.  Jebrynah Octave was checked off Mac’s Mayhem approaching the home turn

Meeting comments:-

Stewards conducted a check of the catcher’s licences in all events tonight in accordance with LRR 16.2 and all were compliant.

Ms Lyn Smith was reminded of her responsibiliies to advise Stewards when having another greyhound (or animal) on-course that was not engaged in the race meeting, without the permission of the Stewards - GAR 30.
