All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Military Girl and Sneakin' Sally were quick to begin.  Koko Kardash was slow to begin.

Reality Lad and Sneakin' Sally collided on the first turn.  Aston Crystal checked off Reality Lad on the first turn causing Aston Crystal and Carla Veloso to collide and race wide.  Aston Crystal and Carla Veloso collided entering the back straight and again in the back straight checking Aston Crystal.  Aston Crystal checked off Carla Veloso on the third turn.  Reality Lad checked off Military Girl approaching the home turn causing Reality Lad, Military Girl and Sneakin' Sally to collide.  Military Girl and Sneakin' Sally collided entering the home straight.

Limiting and Aston Lavinia were quick to begin.  Ethan's Fury and Livvy's Princess were slow to begin.

Limiting and Weblec Rebel collided soon after the start.  Weblec Rebel and Hill Top Jack collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Limiting, causing Ethan's Fury and Livvy's Princess to race wide, Ethan's Fury checked off Livvy's Princess as a result.  Hill Top Jack and Limiting collided approaching the second turn checking Limiting and Livvy's Princess.  Weblec Rebel, Aston Lavinia and Jullisa Bale collided on the third turn.  Limiting checked off Hill Top Jack in the home straight.

How Not Too and Surella Bale were quick to begin.  Unreal Ethics was slow to begin.

Winlock Thor crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Aston Adonis.  Kuro Kismet checked off Surella Bale approaching the first turn.  Winlock Thor checked off Aston Adonis on the first turn causing Unreal Ethics to race wide.  Surella Bale faltered on the second turn checking Kuro Kismet and Kingfisher Rose, Surella Bale pulled up as a result.  How Not Too checked off Kuro Kismet on the third turn.  Unreal Ethics and Aston Adonis collided on the third turn.  

Surella Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Nangar Rust stumbled at the start.  Zambora Lion went up with the lids.  Father Phevos and Aston Samurai collided soon after the start.  Nangar Rust and Aratuza Bale collided soon after the start.  Nangar Rust and Summer Lights collided approaching the first turn.  Kaison Bale checked off Aston Samurai approaching the first turn.  Father Phevos and Aston Samurai collided on the first turn checking Aston Samurai, causing Aston Samurai, Nangar Rust, Full Moon Party and Aratuza Bale to collide, Aratuza Bale and Aston Samurai raced wide as a result.  Kaison Bale and Nangar Rust collided approaching the second turn.  Nangar Rust and Aratuza Bale collided in the back straight.  Summer Lights checked off Father Phevos on the third turn.  Full Moon Party checked off Summer Lights in the home straight.  Father Phevos turned its head outwards approaching the winning post.

Father Phevos underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion the left hind foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Greg Neocleous regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Father Phevos was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Father Phevos was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Supplementary Report: At the Stewards inquiry held on the night into the racing manners of Father Phevos approaching the finishing line, Trainer Mr Greg Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge as issued under GAR 69A in that Father Phevos failed to pursue the lure with due commitment. The Stewards accepted the guilty plea and finalised the inquiry on these terms. However, post inquiry and the penalty being recorded and issued to Father Phevos, Mr Neocleous contacted the Stewards Dept. and wished to retrospectivley change his plea from guilty to not guilty (which was momentarily published in the above report) until the matter was identified, corrected and reverted to the original script. As a matter of record, the Stewards maintain that a guilty plea was entered by Mr Neocleous to the charge, at the inquiry.

Tysons Town, Dewana Success and Major Sacrifice collided soon after the start.  Walk Me Home and Tysons Town collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Major Sacrifice and Roll Your Eyes collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Major Sacrifice checked off Tysons Town approaching the second turn.  Dewana Success and Tysons Town collided on the second turn.  Dewana Success, Major Sacrifice and Tysons Town collided in the back straight checking Tysons Town.  Dewana Success checked off Major Sacrifice on the third turn.

Fabriola Zad and Arlington collided soon after the start.  Fabriola Zad crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Barooga Smoke.  Fabriola Zad checked off No Talking approaching the first turn.  Arlington and No Taking collided on the first turn.  Rilynn Bale and Barooga Smoke collided on the third turn.  Rilynn Bale, Barooga Smoke and Jax Bale collided approaching the home turn.  

Opal Rocks & Pilbara - Acting on a confirmed telephone call with Trainer Mr. M. Briganti the two greyhounds were withdrawn at 5.03pm in the best interest of greyhound racing (GAR 20 (4) (b)). Mr. Briganti applied to withdraw Opal Rocks and Pilbara after the pair were inadvertently fed late this afternoon. In approving the application to withdraw the greyhounds, Mr. Briganti was fined $250 for the kennel's negligence pursuant to GAR86(o). In arriving at penalty Stewards considered the circumstances of the matter, penalty precedent and that two greyhounds were withdrawn resulting in a field of six. No penalties were applied to the greyhounds.

Stewards delayed the ‘All Clear’ to this event in order to review vision of the greyhounds racing to the turn out of the front straight. The side on and head on video footage was examined numerous times regarding My Girl Kizzy racing unusually wide approaching the turn. After viewing the replays and acting on their own observations Stewards believed My Girl Kizzy raced wide of its own accord and as such ‘All Clear’ was declared.

Party Lights was quick to begin.

Zipping Ticket and My Girl Kizzy collided on the first turn.  Dark Arrow and Weblec Haze collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Zipping Hamish checked off Party Light on the first turn and again on the second turn.  My Girl Kizzy raced wide approaching the second turn.  Dark Arrow and My Girl Kizzy collided approaching the third turn checking Dark Arrow.  Zipping Hamish checked off Party Lights on the fourth turn.  Party Lights and Zipping Ticket collided entering the home straight checking My Girl Kizzy.
