A sample was taken from Miss Somerton upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race sample was taken from Recapture Time.
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Parade Steward Ms. P. Toner did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of the event.
Plain And Simple and Desert Flame were slow to begin. Graclyn Bale, Plain And Simple and Desert Flame collided on the first turn. Flying Fox and Miss Somerton collided on the first turn checking Flying Fox. Rock The Sky, Flying Fox and Plain And Simple collided approaching the home turn checking Rock The Sky and causing Plain And Simple to contact the running rail and lose ground.
Plain And Simple underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right flexor tendon. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post race sample was taken from Oamaru Bale - winner of the event.
