A pre-race sample was taken from Always Ho Ho.
Always Ho Ho was quick to begin.
Perfect Colour stumbled at box rise. Perfect Colour and Coughlin's Law collided soon after the start. Perfect Colour checked off Konta approaching the first turn. Konta checked off Perfect Colour entering the back straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr Steven White, the trainer of Always Ho Ho regarding its improved performance in this event. Mr White stated the greyhound recently joined his kennel and he has vastly improved the greyhound's fitness and has treated several underlying injuries. Mr White's comments were noted.
