Minnesota Nights was quick to begin. All Access and Blazing Alabama were slow to begin.

Minnesota Ace and My Girl Betty collided soon after the start checking Minnesota Ace. Minnesota Ace brushed the rail approaching the first turn and lost ground. Blazing Alabama and Blazing Bourbon collided on the first turn. My Girl Betty checked off Minnesota Nights approaching the home turn. All Access galloped on Blazing Alabama approaching the home turn causing Blazing Alabama to falter and subsequently tail off. Blazing Alabama and All Access raced wide on the home turn. All Access and Minnesota Ace raced wide in the home straight.

Blazing Alabama underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Vianna Bale – Late scratching at 3.33pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right hindleg toe injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Tinker Yap was slow to begin.

Frangipani Bay and Cairnlea Winnie collided soon after the start. Jupiter King and Cairnlea Winnie collided soon after the start. Zipping Chuck checked off Arby's Roger soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Heart Of Gold crossed to rail on the first turn checking Arby's Phoebe. Zipping Chuck checked off Arby's Phoebe approaching the home turn. 

Zipping Chuck underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg thigh and triangle injury and an abrasion to the right metatarsal.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Westar Storm - the winner of the event.

Waldermar Bale, Cloudy Diamond and Bound By collided soon after the start checking Cloudy Diamond. Black Beaver checked off She's Something approaching the first turn.
