Gem Victorem – Late scratching at 13:20 under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.
Chillout Cookie was quick to begin.
Bluesette Queen, Flying Miss, Rival Wiggy and Granny Said Go collided on the first turn. Rival Wiggy and Granny Said Go collided entering the back straight. Bluesette Queen faltered in the back straight and lost ground as a result.
Bluesette Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstrings injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
