Steward's Report
Grand Giveaway – Late scratching at 10:32 am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr K Ward informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on-route to the track. Stewards have advised Mr Ward that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Predictions – New declared weight of 34.1 kgs, last raced at 32.3 kgs.
Zipping Reuben, Winslow Lodge and Predictions were slow to begin.
Predictions checked off Aston Malmo soon after the start. Zipping Reuben and Our Brinni collided approaching the home turn.
Predictions underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind paw. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
