Kamari crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Shock Horror, Burner Black, Reggie Ryan, Super Rage and Ima Maldini. Shock Horror and Burner Black collided approaching the first turn, checking Burner Black. Super Rage and Reggie Ryan collided approaching the home turn. Burner Black checked off the heels of Brolga Lass approaching the home turn. Super Rage and Brolga Lass collided on the home turn.
Reggie Ryan, which trailed the field, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Representative, Mr. K. Gavin, stated that it was the kennel's intention to retire the greyhound from racing.
