The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

An out of competition sample was taken from Hacker (Res) on 7 December 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Fab Rocket was quick to begin.  Fine Edition was slow to begin.  Shucks, Hurricane Sue And Dr. Santiago collided soon after the start checking Hurricane Sue.  Fine Edition and Hurricane Sue collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Santisgo crossed in on the first turn and collided with Schucks checking Aston Balade and Barwidgi.  Fine Edition raced wide on the home turn.  Schucks marred Fab Rocket several times in the home straight causing both greyhounds to race wide.  

Schucks underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on a left hind toe and left metatarsal.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. George the trainer of Shucks regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Shucks was charged with marring.  Mr. George pleaded guilty to the charge, Shucks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future  nomination will be accepted.

Yussuf Bale was slow to begin.  Star Magic and Cosmic Roy collided soon after the start severely checking Cosmic Roy which fell as a result.  Jezza Bence, Zipping Burns and Cool Customer collided approaching the first turn.  Jezza Bence and Zipping Burns collided on the first turn.  Jezza Bence, Cool Customer and Yussuf Bale collided on the home turn.  Jezza Bence and Yussuf Bale collided in the home straight.  Cool Customer and Yussuf Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Cosmic Roy underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported

Aston Marlon and Billy’s The Boss collided soon after the start.  Shanlyn Ally And Minter Rise collided on the first time severely checking Shanlyn Ally; checking Minter Fly and Billy’s The Boss. Minter Rise and Aston Marlon collided on the home turn.  Minter Rise and Reality Luxe collided in the home straight checking Reality Luxe.

Louie Lou, Bobby Bean Rose and Willow Ash collided soon after the start.  Inter Vince and Magnetic Steff collided on the first turn severely checking Inter Vince, Willow Ash And Raja Bale.  Magnetic Steff and Bobby Bean Rose collided on the home turn.  Magnetic Steff and Louie Lou collided in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Oscar The Scout.

Oscar The Scout and  Parzival were slow to begin.  Javi, Inuka and Notorious collided approaching the first turn.  Oscar The Scout was checked off Parzival on the first turn causing Oscar The Scout and Buddy Blinx to collide severely checking both greyhounds.  Parzival and Why Not Luv collided on the home tirn.  Nenna Tears, Inuka, Parzival and Why Not Luv collided approaching the winning post.

Equalizer was slow to begin.  Top Right, Purify Virtuoso and Flying Fifi collided on the first turn checking Top Right And Purify Virtuoso.  Equalizer and Dr. Knuckles collided on the home turn. Purify Virtuoso and Zipping Imogen collided entering the home straight.  Dr. Knuckles and Tyson’s Tiger collided in the home straight.

Looks Like Turbo and Will Do were quick to begin.  Looks Like Turbo and Abelero Bale collided on the first turn checking Looks Like Turbo.  Will Do was checked off Zambora Lion on the first turn. Splinter galloped on Mepunga Harry on the home turn. Splinter was checked off Mepunga Harry entering the home straight.

Weeona Bulldozer was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Weeona Bulldozer and Just Burning collided on the home turn.  Stirling Lights and Busy Bella collided approaching the winning post.

Let’s Roll and Why Not Hutch collided on the first turn checking Let’s Roll. Kilpatrick and Frankie Fever collided approaching the home turn checking Frankie Fsver. Zipping Django and Why Not Hutch collided entering the home straight.

Calabrese Gino underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left thigh and an abrasion on the elbow.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
