At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 25.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.4 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Kayden’s Tiger, Amazing Roy and Plain And Simple collided approaching the first turn causing Amazing Roy to stumble, cross out and collide with Aston Rabanne severely checking Amazing Roy. Kayden‘s Tiger galloped on Plain And Simple approaching the home turn checking Plain And Simple.
Amazing Roy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
