Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Simon Humphries, regarding the racing manners of Like A Hurricane approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Humphries, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

She's A Looker was slow to begin.

She's A Looker crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Lily Rose Jazz and Uncharged. Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Run Shifty Run with trainer, Mr Ryan Galea and noted their comments. 

Mr Steven Spoljaric requested an early race endorsement for Sunshine Spolly. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Sunshine Spolly will compete in early races until further notice.

Run Shifty Run underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Steven Spoljaric requested an early race endorsement for Spolly Bear. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Spolly Bear will compete in early races until further notice.

Shock Value was slow to begin.

Spolly Bear, Man Of Sun and Saharrah Blitz collided soon after the start. Banjo's Affair checked off Saharrah Blitz approaching the 50m mark checking Saharrah Blitz. Shock Value checked off Saharrah Blitz at the 50m mark.

Dyna Drew – New declared weight of 29.9kg, last raced at 31.5kg.

The time for this event was amended to commence at 2.24pm (Sky Channel) which was amended from the advertised start time of 2.26pm
