The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday, 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5 m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Brother Soldier was quick to begin.  Two Mac's Bang and Giant's Flash were slow to begin.

Two Mac's Bang raced wide on the first turn.  Giant's Flash galloped on the heels of Brother Soldier in the home straight; severely checking Brother Soldier, which lost considerable ground.

Brother Soldier underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg wrist injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Minnie Banjo, Myola Dawn and Maximum Ivy were slow to begin.

Crymelon Tactile and Myola Dawn collided soon after the start.  Minnie Banjo clipped the heels of Impress Shades on the first turn; severely checking Impress Shades, which raced wide and tailed off.  Maximum Ivy raced wide on the first turn and visably eased.

Impress Shades underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg back muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Maximum Ivy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to handler/owner, Mr J Cooper regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Maximum Ivy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Cooper pleaded guilty to the charge, Maximum Ivy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Ultimate Avenger - the winner of the event.

Evil Entry and Modern Shadow were slow to begin.

Modern Shadow checked off Paisley Bale soon after the start.  Masalki, Paisley Bale, Modern Shadow and Evil Entry collided approaching the first turn; checking Evil Entry and Modern Shadow.  Modern Shadow checked off Evil Entry on the home turn.  Evil Entry visably eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight, colliding with Paisley Bale.

Evil Entry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg elbow injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr J Caulfield regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Evil Entry was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Evil Entry was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Myola Knight, Maximum Cook and Working Class collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Cook.  Buster's Choice, Myola Knight and Eadie collided on the first turn; checking Buster's Choice and Myola Knight.  Buster's Choice and Eadie collided in the home straight.

Jetta's Shout, Rezzie's Shout and Brazen Crow collided approaching the first turn, checking Rezzie's Shout.  Jetta's Shout checked off Brazen Crow on the first turn.  Brinlee raced wide approaching and on the home turn.  Belena Blaze and Rezzie's Shout collided approaching the winning post.
