College Boy was quick to begin. Aston Respect and Hojilla Bale were slow to begin. Aston Respect and Rockstar Jaimee collided soon after the start checking Rockstar Jaimee. Rona Express, Graclyn Bale and Hojilla Bale collided approaching the first turn. Aston Respect checked off Hojilla Bale on the first turn checking Rockstar Jaimee. Sammy McIvor and Going Viral collided on the first turn checking Hojilla Bale, Aston Respect and Rockstar Jaimee and severely checking Sammy McIvor, Going Viral and Rona Express causing all three greyhounds to lose considerable ground. Aston Respect, Going Viral and Rona Express collided approaching the home turn. Sammy McIvor and Rockstar Jaimee collided on the home turn. Graclyn Bale visibly eased and turned it's head to the inside approaching the winning post.

Graclyn Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left thigh and right hamstrings. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. S. Coulson regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Graclyn Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Graclyn Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
