The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The start of this race was initially delayed (and racing suspended) due to many and continuous lightning strikes in the Bendigo area within the 10km safety zone around the venue.  Racing was indefinatley suspended for over an hour with lightning strikes occuring continuously throughout that period. The last recorded strike was at 3.39pm before the Stewards concluded that the matter was futile at 3.40pm. The Weather Bureau (BOM) had also advised that the storms would persist throughout the remainder of the day. As such, the Stewards in conjunction with BGRC Management, formally abandoned the race meeting in accordance with GAR 57 (4) at 3.40pm. The weights recorded today for all greyhounds are void. The weight recorded at every greyhounds last official race start is and will be the weight used to determine eligibility in upcoming events, in accordance with weight rules.
