Steward's Report
Wendalin Bale, Midnight Monarch, O'Sullivan and Aston Cade were slow to begin.
Midnight Monarch, O'Sullivan and Aston Cade collided soon after the start checking O'Sullivan. Catch The Thief and Midnight Monarch collided on the first turn checking Midnight Monarch and O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan marred Aston Cade approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. O'Sullivan visibly eased and turned its head outwards approaching the winning post.
O'Sullivan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Neville Vincent, the trainer of O'Sullivan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) O'Sullivan was charged with marring. Mr Vincent pleaded guilty to the charge, O'Sullivan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
