Speed Star and Iylee Bale were quick to begin.
Vixstar and Tinker Cindy collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Tinker Cindy. Chops Malone and Konta collided on the first turn. Henessey Venom, Chops Malone and Konta collided approaching the home turn checking Konta and Chops Malone. Vixstar checked off Konta approaching the home turn checking Vixstar, Tinker Cindy and Konta. Speed Star and Iylee Bale collided entering the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Iylee Bale - the winner of the event.

Weblec Storm – Presented for a veterinary examination at the conclusion of kennelling at the request of Stewards after being scratched from Warrnambool on 15/10/20. Weblec Storm was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to have a laceration to a left fore toe. The Stewards were satisfied as to the bonafides of the withdrawal from Warrnambool on 15 October.
