Steward's Report

Frothy's De Goey - Late scratching at 5:07 pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to bruising to the right hind leg.  A  seven day stand down period was imposed.

Seen Better - Late scratching at 5:36 pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to abrasions to the left front leg.  A five day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J Campbell, trainer of Frothy's De Goey and representative of Seen Better, regarding the late scratching of these greyhound's at kenneling.  Mr Campbell stated that both greyhound's were checked this morning and prior to departure to Warrnambool with no underlying issues with Frothy's De Goey or Seen Better.  Mr Campbell further stated both greyhounds are young and highly excitable and in his opinion may have sustained the injuries en-route to the track.

Zipping Aubry was quick to begin.

Bermuda and Aston Master collided soon after the start.  Extreme Care and Five Bucks Down collided on the first turn, checking Bermuda.  Extreme Care and Bermuda collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.

Jackpot underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Aston Master, which escaped from the catching pen, underwent a post race veterinary examination.and was found to have an abrasion to the right side of its face.  No stand down period was imposed.
