Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Lemonade Kid.
Henessey Venom was slow to begin. Dr. Headley checked off Sweet Demi on the first turn and collided with Lemonade Kid. Dr. Knuckles checked off Callum Ari on the first turn. Dr. Knuckles checked off Sweet Demi on the home turn and collided with Henessey Venom. Callum Ari tired in the home straight and collided with Soda King. Dr. Knuckles and Henessey Venom collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Callum Ari underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Lisa Davis regarding the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages of the event. Ms Davis stated that Callum Ari had recently returned from a break following an illness and is still racing back into fitness. Ms Davis further stated that the greyhound will benefit from today’s run and more consistent racing. Stewards noted the comments and took no further action.
