Brazen Crow was quick to begin. My Mascara and Gotcha Laz were slow to begin.
Shinjuku, Rampant Teresa and Groundbreaking collided on the first turn; checking Rampant Teresa and Ragin' Soldier; severely checking My Mascara, which fell as a result. Shinjuku raced wide on the home turn; checking Gotcha Laz and Rampant Teresa.
My Mascara underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Groundbreaking - the winner of the event.
