Sand Dance and Also Arandt were slow to begin.
How's It Alice and Urana Rose collided soon after the start. Urana Rose, Devon Shadow and Also Arandt collided soon after the start checking Urana Rose. Silver One crossed out at the 200m mark. Silver One visibly eased approaching the 150m mark. Big Tango and Silver One collided approaching the 150m mark.
Silver One underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 11. Silver One was found to have soreness to the right shoulder. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Brent Merton, trainer of Silver One, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Silver One was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Merton pleaded guilty to the charge, Silver One must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
