Steampunk Tiger and Short Tyson were quick to begin. Gamma Seven was slow to begin.
Steampunk Tiger, Short Tyson, Litigator and Canadian Mist collided on the first turn, checking Canadian Mist, Westcott Bale, Aston Gates, Rimrock Sally and Litigator. Canadian Mist and Rimrock Sally collided approaching the home turn, checking Rimrock Sally. Canadian Mist and Rimrock Sally collided entering the home straight. Westcott Bale turned it's head inwards colliding with Litigator several times in the home straight.
Westcott Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg deltoid muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr. G Dailly, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Westcott Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. G Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Westcott Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
