Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Zipping Gypsy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a quadricep injury, right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Master Cosmic underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr R. Brewer advised that he would be assessing the greyhound's immediate racing future.

Wonder Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J. Borg regarding the greyhound's racing manner in the home straight. After considering the explanation of Mr Borg, viewing the official replays and acting on their own observations Stewards took no action.

Dim Sim and Nonna Josie were quick to begin.

Corazon De Leon and She's A Blazin' collided soon after the start. Rolling Stone, Lights Action and La La Oregon collided soon after the start. She's A Blazin',  Lights Action and La La Oregon collided approaching the first turn, checking  Lights Action and La La Oregon. Corazon De Leon, Nonna Josie, Dim Sim and Lala Pheonix collided on the first turn, checking all four greyhounds. Lights Action galloped on Nonna Josie approaching the home turn, checking Lights Action and severely checking Nonna Josie. Dim Sim and Corazon De Leon collided entering the home straight. 

Nonna Josie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the hind legs. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Zanfrey Bale - Late scratching at 9.56pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to right hip soreness. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiberia Bale and Gypsy Zelda collided on the first turn, checking Gypsy Zelda. Nevilla Bale and Amp Meter collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Nevilla Bale brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Amp Meter and Aston Achilles collided approaching the home turn

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gladman, the trainer of Lochinvar Deus, and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners ín the home straight.

Uringa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right triangle muscle. A 28 day standdown period was imposed.
