Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5 m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Crymelon Tactile and Rower's Rule were slow to begin.

Mr S Coulson was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 86 (o) after he negligently placed Zipping Caviar in the incorrect box before being corrected during the boxing process. 

Simmo Gogolac and You See Smoke were quick to begin.

Back Burn and Work Zone collided approaching the first turn.  Work Zone and Moraine Hayley collided on the first turn; severely checking Ragin' Soldier.  Aston Rose checked off Favour on the first turn and raced wide; checking Work Zone and Moraine Hayley.

Super Big was quick to begin.  Aston Prestige was slow to begin.

Eaglehawk Miss and Battered Sav collided soon after the start, checking Eaglehawk Miss.  Carry On Angel, Aston Pirate and Charley Davidson collided on the first turn; checking Charley Davidson and Aston Prestige.  Eaglehawk Miss, Charley Davidson and Aston Prestige raced wide on the home turn.  Battered Sav checked off Aston Pirate on the home turn.  Super Big and Lalina collided on the home turn.  

Super Big underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr G George, the trainer of Super Big, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  After hearing submissions from Mr George, viewing all available footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Amigo Two and Kraken Lightning collided approaching the first turn, checking Kraken Lightning.  Untold Soldier, Chops Malone and Oriental Jade collided on the first turn; checking Chops Malone, Oriental Jade, Amigo Two, Kraken Tex and Kraken Lightning.  Untold Soldier checked off Kraken Tex approaching the winning post.

Sarcasmic was slow to begin.

Crackerjack Fish and Close Enough collided soon after the start.  Crackerjack Fish, Close Enough and Max Tractor collided approaching the first turn, checking Close Enough.  Earn The Frank galloped on the heels of Close Enough on the first turn; checking Hatters Lane, Earn The Frank, Close Enough and Ice Cold Yug.  Earn The Frank checked off Hatters Lane entering the home straight.  Close Enough and Ice Cold Yug collided entering the home straight.

Mr. Blurton was slow to begin.

Rayner checked off Blackpool Bolt approaching the first turn; checking Lektra Dude.  Lektra Dude, Yellow And Black and Cracked Soda collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Rayner and Mr. Blurton collided approaching the home turn, checking Mr. Blurton.

Fergusta Bale and Nella Bale collided soon after the start.  Dirty Max, Lil Snooze, Aston Valkyrie and Max's Idol collided approaching the first turn, checking Dirty Max.  Max's Idol checked off Blackpool Ammo on the first turn.  Dirty Max galloped on Max's Idol approaching the home turn; severely checking Dirty Max, Max's Idol and Nella Bale.  Aston Valkyrie raced wide on the home turn.  Blackpool Ammo cramped in the home straight.

Blackpool Ammo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A five day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Blackpool Ammo must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Catch Kate was slow to begin.

Catch Kate checked off Jabba Bolt on the first turn, checking Bitter Dash, Maximum Oaks and Picogram.  Solar Tiny galloped on Nitro Georgie on the first turn, checking Solar Tiny, Bitter Dash and Picogram; severely checking Nitro Georgie, which fell as a result.

Nitro Georgie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg chest and monkey muscle and nail injuries.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
