This event was delayed by approximately two minutes due to a greyhound requiring a replacement lead en-route to the boxes.
Emerley Nolen was slow to begin. Ashby Nimble began awkwardly and was slow to begin.
Dust Up and Crackerjack Mick collided at the 250m mark. Dust Up, Crackerjack Mick and Petey Baqui collided at the 150m mark. Dust Up and Lucky Paws collided at the 100m mark, checking Crackerjack Mick and Petey Baqui. Dust Up, Petey Baqui and Emerley Nolen collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr N Mason, the handler of Crackerjack Mick in this event, after he inadvertently placed the greyhound in the incorrect box. Stewards noted Mr Neil's explanation and taking into consideration the circumstances, issued Mr Neil with a severe reprimand on this occasion.
