Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Lala Phoenix, Lights Action and She's A Blazin' were quick to begin. Shazbot stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.

Lala Phoenix and La La Oregon collided approaching the first turn. La La Oregon and Fabriola Acai collided approaching the first turn. Lights Action and Assertive collided on the first turn. Fabriola Acai and Assertive collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. 

Gypsy Zelda and Dim Sim were quick to begin. Corazon De Leon was slow to begin.

Gypsy Zelda and Nonna Josie collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Fireball Frank marred Dim Sim in the home straight.

Fireball Frank underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr A. Richardson, the trainer of Fireball Frank regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Fireball Frank was charged with marring. Mr Richardson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Fireball Frank was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jim Zarr Dashian was quick to begin. 

Chief's Magic and Destini Catalina collided on the first turn. Destini Catalina and Malayah Bale collided approaching the second turn. Malayah Bale and Jax Bale collided approaching the home turn. Jax Bale raced wide on the home turn.

Oscar De Lonhro – Late scratching at 2:11pm when Mr F. Carbone reported the greyhound to have illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Line Seeker and Foxzami Thriller collided on the first turn. Black Canvas and Weetbix Jester collided on the first turn, severely checking Black Canvas, Weetbix Jester, Rock on Jimmy and Drumbeater.

Rock On Jimmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Drumbeater underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
